Criminals target real estate transactions by impersonating title companies, agents, and lenders to divert closing funds. A few simple steps can keep your money safe.

Never wire funds based on emailed instructions alone.

Before sending any money, call Next Day Title at (555) 555-5555 to verify the instructions verbally.

Next Day Title will never

  • Change our wiring instructions by email, text, or phone call.
  • Ask you to send funds to a new or different account at the last minute.
  • Ask for your bank login, passwords, or other sensitive account credentials.

You should always

  • Call us at a phone number you know is genuine, such as one from our website or your contract, never one taken from an email.
  • Verbally confirm the wiring instructions before sending any funds.
  • Call us after sending your wire to confirm we received it.
  • Be suspicious of urgent requests, unusual language, or slightly misspelled email addresses.

Think you've been targeted?

Act immediately. Contact your bank to request a recall of the wire, then call us at (555) 555-5555. You should also file a complaint with the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center at ic3.gov. The faster you act, the better the chance of recovering funds.
